REJOINDER: Current Miss Liberia Arrested In UK For Peddling Drugs – Miss Wokie Dolo Speaks Out At Last

Winner of Miss Liberia 2016/2017 edition, Wokie Dolo, who happens to be a sister to award winning Ghanaian actor, Eddie Watson, is being maligned by faceless imps – who are accusing her of drug peddling amongst other baseless allegations, causing her arrest in UK.

Resorting to her official Facebook wall, Miss Dolo has issued strongly worded rejoinder to the unscrupulous characters attempting to soil her hard earned reputation. Presspeep.com observed below:

—————————————————————————

Dear Fellow Liberians,

Few hours ago, the work of some dastardly and diabolical-incensed individuals of hate and malice sought to visit on me, my person and personality vices totally unrepresentative of my character. For the record I have no police record let alone witness to police investigation or to mention drug peddling.

As a messenger of peace and Conflict Resolution and in view of my dedication to youth promotion, I hereby use this medium to completely resist and distance myself from such ungodly tendency.

While I hold no malice against the perpetrators of such barbarism; and realizing that physical growth is sometimes mistaken for intellectuality growth, one can clearly understand that in spite to the damage these detractors try to mete out against my reputation – I can only leave them to their consciences.

More so, I believe the greatest weapon in these kinds of tribulations is one’s ability to demonstrate the kind of leadership and maturity that will confront ego with love.

For those who know – appreciate my humbled upbringing and especially those whose mentorship will continue to inspire me – I say let’s keep the faith and remain strong amid the odds.

I must assure you that I will continue to remain resolute and dedicated to the singleness of our purpose to make a memorable Miss. Liberia. The conflict of nearly 14 years brought about so much hatred and hurt. I can only but encourage Liberians to redirect their energies towards peace and show love to those who wish them evil.

Wokie Dolo was born on the 31st of March 1992 in lamco yekepa (Liberia) but due to the war she and her parents flew to exile in the republic of Guniea and later came home in 1997 where she learned how to speak English.

Growing up as a child, she found passion in entertainment and mentoring children. During her primary education in Ganta where she gained passion for pageantry. Her first competition was in 2007 where she contested in the Miss Ganta beauty pageant.

She wasn’t successful but she accepted her defeat as a sign of motivation. Upon her graduation from The Saint Lawrence Catholic High School, she enrolled at The Cuttington University in 2011 where she studied Peace and Conflict Resolution with distinction in Sociology and again contested for the Prestigious Miss Cuttington pageant in 2012 and became the title holder.

Wokie wasn’t only involved with extra-curricular activities but she was also involved with academic activities where she served as the Vice President for the Peace Institute in 2013. In 2014 she also obtained a certificate from the All African Student Union in Accra Ghana and served as the Chairperson for the graduating class of Cuttington University in 2015.

As a beauty queen, she didn’t see her beauty as all to it but she used her title to serve humanity. She became a young philanthropist, mentor, beauty consultant and founder of the Youth of Substance and Nimba Got Beauty and hosted the Miss Education Beauty Pageant in the year 2013 to give young women the platform to celebrate their inner beauties and potentialities in Ganta Nimba County.

Also, she hosted a quizzing tournament in Gbarnga bong County in 2014 to unite the students and test their educational abilities. Wokie enjoys cooking, reading, meeting and learning from intelligent people. As a beauty queen, she’s passionate about giving “Hope to the Hopeless”.
