Comedian, Trevor Noah host of The Daily Show, a late-night television talk show on Comedy Central, is the latest personality to take a bite of the trending plagiarism debacle that rocked the presidential inauguration last Saturday.
The speech by President Akufo-Addo gained international attention after it emerged that parts of his speech were from speeches of former US Presidents, Bill Clinton and George Bush.
The issue has been a subject of huge public debate with some international media outfits, including the BBC, CNN, Aljazeera and others reporting on it.
The South African comedian kicked off his mockery by stating that, “let’s start with some weekend news from somewhere where America only usually hear about on National Geographic,” then he played the video from the inauguration.
