Working towards achieving its humanitarian goal in Nigeria, Taakra Academy, owned and managed by Lady D, wife of Charly Boy, has taken its empowerment scheme to the next level, as the Academy makes frantic effort towards empowering thousands of Nigerian youth corps members who are currently serving in the FCT.
Lady Diane who visited the NYSC camp in Kubwa , Abuja with other staff of Taakra Academy Tuesday, revealed her company’s readiness to empower corps members who desire to learn extra skills at the most subsidized rates.
According to Lady D “ having noticed the rate of unemployment in Nigeria, and considering the number of graduates produced every year in Nigeria, it has become imperative that Taakra contributes in its own little way towards rehabilitating Nigerian youths who are full of thoughts on what lies ahead of them after their service year”
While enlightening the youth corps members on the several skill acquisition programs available at Taakra Academy, Lady Diane affirmed that corps members who join the academy would be privileged to learn up to 10 different skills within the duration of the program. The skills will include jewelry making, soap making, hat making, batik tie and dye, bag making, shoe making, nail design and fixing, makeup class, event planning, Taakra creative crafts, silk screen printing and a host of others.
As at the time of this report, corps members who see this as an opportunity of a life time are beginning to pick up their forms from the JOF building in Gwarinpa, Abuja.
